Totchop's Parent Knife features a sharp edge that handles meats, veggies, fruits, and cheeses with ease. For tougher-skinned foods like tomatoes or limes, a serrated knife may work better.

Totchop's Kid (Finger-Safe) Knife is sharper than a butter knife but safer than the Parent Knife. It features a small, flat edge that helps prevent skin cuts while still handling foods like raw potatoes, asparagus, chicken, cheese, and more.

Our silicone insert is FDA-compliant and does not degrade into microplastics like traditional plastic cutting surface shark (plus it pops to clean cut marks better!). It’s composition is similar to the safest teethers, bottle nipples, and water bottle straws.

Our cutting board base is made of nontoxic, FDA-compliant polypropylene for portability and dishwasher use. Polypropylene is far less likely to produce microplastics when not used as a cutting surface.

Yes! The totchop set is built in the USA from cutlery-grade Stainless Steel and virgin USA polypropylene / TPV. The Chop 'n Pop insert is made with 100% natural, FDA compliant silicone (without colorants).

All of our materials are free of PTFE, PFOA, PFAS, BPA, and Heavy Metals.

We put a lot of effort into this design. Our knives have a special edge that's designed to cut food, not silicone.

Our silicone:

  • non-toxic
  • microplastic-free
  • resin-free (unlike bamboo)
  • non-porous (unlike wood, better for meats)
  • blade-friendly (unlike glass or titanium)
  • dishwasher-safe (unlike bamboo)
  • poppable cut marks (unlike anything else)

Control & speed are what sets totchop apart from pizza cutters, shears, or regular knives. The bowl keeps food from rolling away, and the knife's chopping motion allows multiple pieces to be cut in one stroke.

The entire set is dishwasher-safe by design. That said, hand-washing the knife will keep it looking its best over time.

The cutting board and Chop 'n Pop insert are microwave-safe.

Yes! Totchop's non-slip feet ensure stability while cutting, making it safer and easier to use (even one-handed).
